ARuby and Floyd Montour are many things
but determined could definitely be at the
top of the list. They have been diligently showing
up before the sun rises at the proposed
Hampton Inn hotel site in Brantford for many
days. Their efforts have temporarily shut down
the First Gulf site in Brantford and now have
Danny Bawa of “Bawa Hotels Canada” visiting

office and work with them to find some kind of
agreement. That promise was made over a

with the HDI office he had not made
attempts to work with them. This time though
he is taking steps that can be perceived as working
with the HDI.
Danny Bawa’s son had arrived on site Monday
and offered papers to Floyd and Ruby Montour
but failed to provide any information about the
archaeological report. The Montours though
