New Credit and TransCanada working together for five years
By Erin Tully New Credit New Credit and TransCanada Corporation have signed a five year community-corporate agreement. The meeting, as do most at the New Credit council house, seemed to be that of old friends catching up and having lunch. Chief Brian Laforme and TransCanada’s eastern regional director Randy German signed the official agreement and also shared some laughs. The need for the agreement was to allow TransCanada to work within New Credit’s traditional territory. It will provide jobs and business opportunities and pay New Credit $10,000 a year for the life span of the agreement. Chief Bill Laforme said that
the most important aspect of

opportunities for the youth.
